***Tomorrow's WOD will be held at 9:30 a.m. in Tidelands Park in Coronado.  To get to Tidelands Park, take your first right after crossing the bridge on Glorietta Blvd., then turn right on Mullinix Drive and look for a group of people that you would want to hang out with.***

*** We will be combining the 8:30 Elements class with the 9:30 Saturday class tomorrow...there will not be two seperate classes..

***Looking for self-defense?  Check out the Personal Defense Readiness seminar being held at CFSD from 9:00 to 3:00 p.m.  There is something for everyone this weekend.***

WOD

Fight on Friday - "The Flurry"

Whether you have your opponent on the ropes, or you are trying to steal a round by ending with a flurry, there comes a time in every combat sport where you have to be prepared to go all out for 60 seconds . . . and not just once.  You may have to do it again after only a minute of rest.  Are you up to the task?

Teams of two complete 3 rounds of the following exercises - 60 seconds on, 60 seconds off.  Keep track of total score:
-- Over-Unders (jump over your on-all-fours partner, and then crawl under high-bridged partner)
-- Six Point Jump (partner sits in L with arms straight out at side, jump over arm, over legs, over arm and back again for one rep)
-- Partner-Assisted HSPU
-- Anchored sit-ups

100_2504 "The Manimal", Wink and Dave from MN - a new friend of CFSD, doing some snatch work on Wednesday.

WOD: Gym rat routine, 2500m row, 200m tire flips, 100 GHD's, 1 mile weighted vest x2

Good stuff Snax! Sounds like the trip home has already been well worth the travel. Enjoy your cheat day, er, days.

GO Jazz!

Oh, amazing brownie Sundays at Moo-Time? Gonna be there at 8pm.

Holla

I am addicted to peanut butter. If anyone else is having this probmem, meet me at Moo-Time Creamery at 8PM.

Snax-a-lotta-puss,

I have been licking my lips and rubbing my hips since the last text message yesterday about the brownie...I'm looking forward to the best damn Utah brownie....COME HOME SOON!!!!!!

P.S. Moo-Time Creamery in Coronado has one of the most amazing brownie sundays around!! (not that I have eaten it! Stop jusging me everyone!) wink-wink.

Fridays are great!! I am disappointed I missed fight on Friday, team work outs are my favorite!!
I did make it up however out here in Utah with our friends Tyson and Miranda from Crossfit801.

WOD:
Eva T
5 rounds
800M run
30 2 pood KB swings(70lb)
30 pull ups
Time:40:30

The combination of the swings and the pull ups worked my grip and the altitude change made this one a killer!

After the workout I brought Ma Hawkes down and introduced her to some of the basic CF movements. It's nice to be able to help and influence my mom after all the years she has done the same for me!

Then I picked up lil Hawkes early from school and went and got brownies!I know the word brownies has Rachel licking her lips and slapping her hips! ; )

Life is good,

Snax

CJ, I don't know the CFSD crew well enough to chime in on your theraputical round objects, so I will have to keep my NY out of that one. Nice work with the team WOD everyone.

555 BOOO YAAAAAAA

Team Manergy (Ron and Manny) beat this shit like a red headed step child.

I think what really helped was that Manny was basically squatting me during the HSPU. This helped me break out quite a few.

During the whole WOD all I could hear was the music to the Halo 3 trailer "Finish the Fight" and I went all Master Chief on that WOD.

Oh man, I did forget Mary and Christina. I didn't even get scores for them this morning. I feel horrible. I will have to make it up to them, but for now:
The Wonder Women (Mary & Christina) - 874 (this is an approximation, but they were crushing it this morning, so I think it's pretty accurate)

Wm, CJ, did you forget Cherry Mary Muffin Pants and Christine? I am sure they will feel great when they see they were omitted.

Today was fantastic. I can jump!

CJ, great way to end the week. With more innuendoes... balls and snatches - like PB and J, only better.

Rockin' good times this morning. My kind of crew - small but fierce. Here are their totals:
The Contortionists (Dani & Bruno) - 523
Team Big Red (Jeff & Mark) - 500
The Incredibles (JB & Ali) - 439
The Dynamic Duo (Mo & Wink) - 335 (may need a recount)
Nice work everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I am heading up to a Trigger Point Therapy seminar this weekend to learn how to heal people with my balls - my Trigger Point Therapy balls and rollers that is. Should be fun.

*taps foot waiting for noon class to do the WOD and post*

Oh yeah, and I can confirm that this WOD was a blast!

Can't wait for SPEAR tomorrow, past 90 yo baby!

This WOD sounds like a blast!!!!
