Today was my last day visiting CFSD, now back to warmer weather in Minneapolis!
all sets at 115#, had to work hard on getting under the weight with proper depth. Then was taught a wall squat... Hopefully that will help with my tightness problems.
Thank you CFSD, I had a great time working out with y'all!
CrossFitters and the snatch comments - it is good to know something things don't change.
On a serious note (yes Ali and M I am being serious on the blog). Snatch was great today. I normally hate this lift, but with some practice and good coaching I think I might have turned a corner with my snatch. Oh good god everyone get your head out of the gutter.
Have a great day and I hope the P.M. crew has as good of a snatch experience as I did this morning.
I love innuendo days. For what it is worth, my snatch (which I am normally very proud of) was very ugly today. My PR is 135 lbs. (so close to bodyweight it is infuriating), but 115 was challenging today and I ultimately dropped down to 95 lbs. and just worked on my mechanics. My uncomfortable snatch could be due to the fact that my legs are barely functioning after Monday's fun with thrusters and jumping pull-ups though. I will clean up my, uh, form so that it is once again beautiful and highly functional.
Well, today I helped M with her snatch, and in a surprising turn of events she helped me with mine?! For some reason I was all "twinkle-toed" today and kept coming off my heels. I tuckered out at 3x73.5kg...
M got a PR though, 115# I believe.
Later Moses came in but he wasn't really feeling his snatch today so he switched to working on getting his fully extended "Muscle"...up
B-Double-Dub, you just blew my mind.

How much snatch could a snatch snatch if a snatch could snatch snatch?

Ali...yes indeed you are snatcharific.
M and Aush...knock it off you perverts.

Thanks CJ, that makes me feel so much more comfortable, being snatchtastic as opposed to....you know.
Until the next snatch workout....
A Pizzle.

I was wondering if you need to be in the splits to be able to turn corners w/ your snatch?
Posted by: M | May 07, 2008 at 05:14 PM
Ok, I had this whole thing typed up about turning corners with the snatch, but I couldn't bring myself to post it. Too much.

Dave, it was awesome having you join us. Come visit us any time you and the wife need a break from the frigid Minnesota cold.
Ali, you're more snatchtastic than snatcharific.

Dave,
Thank you, that was our first 'y'all' on the blog! It was great to have you, come back and visit soon.
Dani, admit that I am snatcharific.
