Coryna was introduced to Crossfit December 2006 by a friend who had put her through one of the girl-named workout called "Fran" with a row (thrusters, pull-ups and rowing). Although Coryna had been an avid runner, "globo-gym" goer, step aerobics instructor and lacrosse player, she quickly noticed that Crossfit offered a brand of fitness with benefits that were unlike any other workout regimen she had ever tried or seen. After the soreness of her first workout wore off, she signed up for her initial one-on-one introductory classes at Crossfit San Diego and has been hooked ever since.
In March 2007, Coryna took part in a Crossfit Level 1 Certification at Crossfit San Diego to gain a deeper knowledge of the inner-workings of Crossfit and to one day expand her role in the Crossfit community as a trainer. A true believer that the benefits of Crossfit training are transferable to other sports and activities someone is involved in (and daily life), she noticed early improvements in her 5k and 10k race times without even training for 5 or 10k races.
Whether you are looking to get off the couch and get moving, take your already physical lifestyle to the next level, or are simply bored with the traditional workout methods, Crossfit can help you attain your goals. Over the years, Coryna has learned that Crossfit is more than just a workout program. Crossfit is an environment that not only supports improvement in the physical realm, but also is a supportive environment to build confidence and work ethic. It is a lifestyle and a community.
Coryna brings a high degree of enthusiasm, tenacity, motivation and desire to see others succeed and reach their goals, whatever they may be. Not only does she have a passion for Crossfit, but a passion for teaching others (she is also a college math instructor). Whether you are an athlete, a stay-at-home mom, or a wanna-be former couch potato, Coryna wants to help you reach your full potential.
