I am a former college athlete and have been competitive in a number of sports including soccer, swimming, basketball, mountain biking and track. After a serious knee injury and lengthy rehabilitation, exercise and taking care of myself took a back seat to other priorities in my life. I got lost in the everyday globo gym routine. I no longer found joy in working out and didn’t look forward to performing the usual treadmill and weight machine routine.
Then, through a friend who had heard of the successes others were having with the program, I found CrossFit. The intensity, variety, and competitive nature of the group classes was exactly what I was looking for. Oh yeah, and it’s functional! I was hooked. In less than 6 months, I lost 35 pounds and became the person I knew before. It wasn’t a walk in the park. It was challenging and difficult but it made me want to come back for more, which I believe is one of the most important components of an exercise routine.
I am now in the best shape of my life—I am stronger, faster, and have more endurance than I did as a high school and college athlete. I perform feats that I never thought I could perform. I am happy with my new found success, health, and appearance.
Now I want to share my success with others—if I can do it, so can you! It is important for me to connect with each person I train in a way that they can relate to. I want everyone to realize that they are an athlete. If you have never worked out, if you got lost like me, or if you are in a routine that doesn’t excite you to come back for more, I can help you reach your fullest potential—it is probably greater than you had ever imagined!
Whether it is group training or one-on-one, preparing you for a specific event or just for everyday life, no matter what your age or current physical ability, I can work with you to create an individualized plan to help you reach your goal.
I am a CrossFit Level I Certified Instructor and also hold my CrossFit Olympic Lifting Certification. I regularly coach group classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9AM and Thursday at 6AM. I am available for personal training any day of the week. My schedule is flexible since I am self-employeed. Outside of CrossFit, I own Mmmm Good Meals, a Zone-friendly catering business that delivers healthy lunch/dinner to CFSD Monday-Friday as well as caters all kinds of events.
