Aush Chatman

Aush is a CrossFit Level I Certified Trainer who enjoys helping your average American coach potato reach their maximum fitness potential.  A US Naval Officer, Aush became immersed in the CrossFit culture in December 2004 and received his CrossFit Certification in December 2007.
Aush’s passion in life is to share his enthusiasm for a healthy and fulfilling life with as many people as possible.
Aush currently coaches small group classes at 6pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.  He also co-coaches large group classes at 9:00am on Saturdays.  Aush is available for private training in the evenings by appointment only.

I’ve CrossFitted long before and long after long was cool. Rambo fears me and Chuck Norris wants to be me. I throw weight around like a red headed step child. I understand deeply abstract concepts such as program design, nutrition, and the Jersey Shore.

I sit at a desk staring at a monitor 8 hours a day 5 days a week and I can feel my desk and chair slowly robbing me of my strength, flexibility, and overall happiness. What ever happened to physically testing your body to it’s max potential by breaking through mental and physical barriers. Do you remember that life you wanted to live when you were young? Running around, climbing trees and mountains, and exploring the world.

3 years ago I weighed 188lbs and my double chin had it’s own chin. I made a promise to myself that I would never be this way again. I found CrossFit and it shattered my reality on what fitness actually was. It provides a program that is ever changing that constantly tests my physical abilities. CrossFit will prepare you for any physical situation thrown at you since it’s core foundation is built upon functional movement. Every movement you do here at CFSD will transfer to every physical ability you do in every day life. When I do CrossFit I like to think that I’m training myself to not suck at life.
